How long will it take to get my licence?
In most cases, you will receive a decision from the Home Office within eight weeks of your application. If a compliance visit is required prior to issuing the licence decision, this could take up to 12 weeks, but processing times may vary. If you need to expedite your application, you can pay an additional fee of £500 to receive the decision within ten working days.
What type of licence should I apply for?
This depends on the kind of worker you want to sponsor. You can apply for a ‘Worker’ licence to sponsor people in different types of skilled employments for a range of time periods. Alternatively, you can apply for a ‘Temporary Worker’ licence, which includes volunteering and job-shadowing, and is only valid for specific types of employment.
